    The Yamaha N-12 mixer is a good unit.
    The 8 inputs 2 stereo (3 impedance settings )mic line guitar :so no need for DI box. Compressor is quite extensive. EQ and reverb. The unit is quite beefy looking.

    Be careful of low end Yamaha. It's made in China by Phonic.

    Higher end Yammie stuff is a different bird.

    How about Neve 8801 strip with the folowing features:

    Output transformer balanced unit (exclusive Neve design)
    Neve Mic Pre Amp with Hi Pass and Low Pass Filters
    4 band EQ
    Compressor and gate
    Insert Send and Return
    EQ or Filters to side chain
